Sam Hunter is a History and Politics graduate of the University of Glasgow, currently enrolled in postgraduate study in International Relations. He opines on an array of topics encompassing politics, history and economics, while his academic interests centre primarily on comparative politics and public policy; with a specific focus on the mechanisms of democratic backsliding, populist tactics and digital inequality in their broader relation to global developments. He has previously written for the Oxford Political Review, and in his role as culture commentator for the Glasgow Guardian, written extensively on art, literature, film and society.
