Joey Gwinn works in the heart of Westminster as a parliamentary assistant to a frontline politician - researching and proposing solutions to some of the largest issues facing the UK and beyond today. Before moving to London, he stood for local elections three times as a Conservative Party candidate, and gained considerable experience and political insights through heavy involvement with campaign organisation and delivery on scales local, regional and national. Joey received a formal education from the University of Lincoln in Politics, where he wrote extensively about sanctions theory and Putin’s war in Ukraine amongst other fields, but attributes much of his first hand knowledge of global issues to his expansive backpacking through places including South America, the Himalayas and China, and through building his own confectionary company.
